At the game, our guys withstood some nasty students in their “zoo” section and played well until the last couple minutes. Pitt was lucky to escape.

Have to believe that X and Tahj would have made a difference if only to rest our starters.Siem is emerging as a real scorer and Frank and Tre are playing with energy and enthusiasm. Got to think we could make a run at the MAAC title.

What gives? The kid scored 6 points and gave us positive minutes. I’m not saying we would have won the game but we could have used him in the second half.

Pitt had a major volleyball game, which likely had a huge impact on attendance. By percentages, Canisius has more students at their games this year than Pitt did last night.

The Oakland Zoo was about 25-33% full and holds 1500 total. There were, by very gracious estimates, 500 students in their student section. Canisius is averaging just over 100 students per game at about 10% of Pitt's enrollment.

I know we like to bemoan student attendance, and they could be better, but they're not why the atmosphere isn't optimal yet.

At the end of the day more kids from the dorms should be supporting their varsity sports. No one cares if we play in a small gym. Make it a destination which is to our advantage. The school & RA’s could do better. Go Griffs!
