Subject: Pay attention

For those who still want to give RW an extension pay attention to what Niagara is doing.

They’re 11-3 in their last 14 games and a legitimate threat to win the MAAC and advance to the NCAA Tournament.

The Purple Eagles are tied for the longest active road win streak (8 games) in the nation.

Greg Paulus has them playing well. He just beat Quinny & Fairfield. Niagara is sitting alone in second place & we’re sitting second to bottom.

The school needs to wake up. Losing momentum to Niagara hurts just as much as Bona.

I could care less what Niagara is doing. Reggie never ever winning a conference tournament anywhere is reason enough to move on. The league is way down this year and if Taj and Long didn’t selfishly quit on us we’d be in the mix too. Reggie would choke in the tourney as he always does so it doesn’t matter. Niagara got lucky with Paulus but he too will get out coached in the tournament.
The league is so bad anyone can win it but Paulus is highly overrated by you guys because you’re comparing him to abject failure. You think Paulus can out coach someone like even John Dunne?

Very good post ! We need to hire a young energetic coach that can bring the program back to life . Any supposed " experienced " coach willing to coach in a low level conference is not the answer . We need to stay away from any coaching candidate looking to retire at Canisius . I'm definitely envious of the direction of Niagara's program .

I just hope we hire a good coach. We don’t have to be prejudiced toward a young coach. I don’t care as long as he’s good. I’m not going to be envious of a school that has to fire their coach for being a sexual predator and lucking into hiring his assistant who is an energetic young coach . The jury is still out on him. We hired some energetic young coaches who turned out to be horrible. Parotta, Marbach. I just hope for competent to start and maybe we get Lucky like other Behlein but good luck with that.

Insanity, thanks for sharing your opinion.

I'll gladly take a what Niagara has at this point. In fact many of us would. John Dunne is a great coach and so is Tom Pecora.

It's a new game when it comes to recruiting. Time to move on from Tahj & Long. More of that will happen to us and others in the MAAC.

Let's hope that those in charge follow the suggestion from Envious.
