A coaching change always brings some new enthusiasm which we surly need in big doses, yes will probably lose many players to portal but I have to think some would have left anyway regardless of how much we are told they might have loved coaching staff, I would think Mitchell will be one of most sought after players in portal, I think there is some limits/prohibition against foreign players being paid NIL money, if not he could probably be in the $100,000 range at some schools. One coaching candidate if he's interested is certainly Steve Curran, former Bona assistant head coach now at George Mason, I believe he was a finalist at Niagara several years ago for their vacancy, he has a reputation as a relentless recruiter and being all in on commitment to coaching , just doesn't have head coach experience which is desirable certainly, but I would expect he would be able to rebuild a team through portal pretty quickly. It will be interesting to see how quickly we proceed on search and how much public info is put out on who is applying for job.

So, we begin again. This time for better I think. Any volunteers for reviving the Cage Club or something like it? If so, please PIPE UP. The new coach, the Athletics Office, The Alums, the Students--- can't do it alone! Oh yeah, the Ladies too. We're all Griffs! It's not just Basketball. It's growing the University. St. Peter Canisius pray for us. And kick us in the a**.

Let’s get a coach first. We also need to communicate the NLI collective. There is no question we need to make an effort to revive those once great programs which built loyalty & engagement.
