Interesting salary info from the Buffalo News here. Have to wonder if canisius wants to get serious about athletics. Can’t attract good coaches if the head coach is the lowest paid in the MAAC, which makes you assume the assistant pool probably is too. On top of poor facilities, etc. At a certain point, you have to invest in the program to get different results.

We do need to add more money for sure but we need to get this hire right. If you add money around bonus thresholds that's one way to build the overall salary. I still think we can find someone decent to revive the Griffs from the ashes and rise like the Phoenix.

There is also the possibility the salary can be augmented by private sources.

I'm thinking it would still be a healthy raise for a DIII coach from Swarthmore, if that's who we hire.
