Former Boston College head man Jim Christian was on campus today for his in person interview.

We might see some more of these type of D1 coaches. Success at one point & now looking for one more shot.

Christian is one of the 3 finalists we are meeting this week on campus. Other two are also DI connected.

Jim Christian was the head coach at Ohio University when I was a senior there in 2012/13. He has a great track record at the mid-major level but struggled at his bigger destinations, albeit schools with inherent disadvantages in their leagues at TCU and Boston College.

I think he's a great coach and would be an impressive hire for Canisius if he lands the job.

The thing that sucked with him at Ohio was that he inherited a team that made the Sweet 16 the year before with all of their key players returning and they regressed to the NIT in his first year. He's not exactly a player friendly but is a very smart coach.
