You’re spot on Griff. MAAC would have been a better for him. He is not Big 10 ready.

Horrible choice. Bad team in a top 3 conference. He'll get pushed all over the place.

So dumb. Same as that Venning who went to BC. That freaking Obioha who is only going to Wilmington is better. Stupid move Mitchell.

I just don't get what these guys are thinking outside of the NIL money - and I get that is a big thing. There are 6'10" stretch 4's in the Big 10. Mitchell certainly isn't that guy and who is he going to back down in the post? Just baffling on many fronts. Jacco left, went up a half step and averaged 6.8 points and 5.1 boards. Mitchell is better than he is but I'd be shocked if his Big 10 numbers resemble that.

I agree. Except for the NIL money and unless you're a 25 and 12 guy looking at a lucrative pro deal, why wouldn't you stay at a place where you can play 35 minutes a night? Now he'll get 15 minutes and pout more when he doesn't play than he did here. But I'm sure they promised him 30 plus and being drafted. In 2 years he'll be in the same spot or probably a lot less than he woulda been.

Re: Frank Mitchell to Minnesota -- Money Talks, Wed, April 17 2024, 21:08:24
$200K is equal to 3 or 4 years in a middling Euro League. 3-4 years is probably an average career length (or longer) for a foreign import.
IF he can get it both years then good for him. If not, then back to the portal and likely down several tiers or maybe back to Canadian school.
Getting the full money promised will be tricky esp for a Canadian as the money must be ‘earned’ outside of America.
