Curious about the fact that any collective payment earmarked for a particular player cannot be used to recruit or retain the player according to the rules announced. Isn’t that exactly what other schools are doing(e.g.,Mitchell getting $200k from Minnesota)?

So we lose the Ducharme kid to Siena’s collective offer for how much? If one wanted to designate a gift to, say, Cam Palesse, how would that work? Confusing to say the least

I completely agree and can't shed any light on any of this.

So it used to be that schools that cheated, gave kids money to lure them (two WNY guys Canisius recruited who went to rival MAAC schools) - come to mind. Now I guess you cheat by guaranteeing NIL money in situations where you can't. It's all so ridiculous.

The NCAA technically forbids it and yet literally almost everyone is doing it...
