Subject: Griffs Offer Quinn "Turtle" Kwasniak...

from Cornerstone Christian Academy in Willoughby Hills, OH. As a junior, he averaged 33.1 Points, 9.1 Rebounds, and 6.3 Assists per game. He also broke the record for 3 Pointers made in a season in OHSAA History with 155 3’s.

The 6'3" guard plays for his father Babe and was named the Ohio D-IV Player of the year. He played this past weekend in the Midwest Live event in Sandusky, OH and put on quite a show (link below). Has been offered by Army and Youngstown St.

He is one of the best HS shooters I have ever seen, won't be shocked if he blows up and becomes untouchable. Gym rat with unlimited range. Smart to get involved.

I would agree with the Downey comparison. Son of a coach, gym rat, great shooter, plays hard, limited athletically. Possibly a better overall player in the long run.

Two modest observations. Has he yet to see a tough defense? Looks like he could gain some weight and muscle. Also BG's belief is the CU coaching staff are just the ones to coach him in college along with the weight room instructors and the dietician. Have any of the "Power" schools shown an interest? One other thought, A Jesuit Education sholud fit well with a Cornerstone Christian Academy graduate.

Canisius won some recruiting battles this Spring. Kwasniak will get more offers, but Canisius has a shot at everyone they've offered.

One of my favorite Griffs. He had the heart of a lion. Left it all on the floor and never was afraid of taking that shot when we needed it. He was something.

Kevin was an “under the radar” senior at Livonia HS, a small division school south of Rochester. No D-I offers until Mike MacDonald saw him play and realized his potential. Sat out his freshman year as a redshirt due to a high ankle sprain and then became a star as a penetrating and dishing point guard. Kevin is still invested in Canisius basketball and was successful as a high school coach at Victor HS. A terrific example of what a Canisius student athlete can be.

I played against his father's Dansville team prior to his days at Livonia.

He is a son of a coach and at some point I would love to see him as an assistant for Coach Christian. Go Griffs!
