You don't need a large stadium for the Pioneer League? So the Pioneer League would take on a brand new program with zero infrastructure and potential seating capacity of maybe 2000 people below their smallest stadium? Come on man. This discussion has gotten stupid. The basketball season is 18 days away and we're talking about this?

The decision not to drop football in the early 2000s was a mistake we should have avoided. Canisius is currently facing a crisis in its athletics program and isn't in a position to add any new sports. The roster caps resulting from the house settlement are going to significantly impact us, especially as hockey is forced to cut players. We were already at a disadvantage, and the introduction of NIL only makes things more challenging.

Please enlighten us as to this athletic department "crisis".

So your solution to right a 20+ year error (in your eyes) is to build a 10,000 seat stadium in and/or around a land locked school so we can get 800 people on a Saturday afternoon in October to watch Drake? Got it.

enrollment is way down and retention is way down. some majors have single digit enrollment

Canisius will add another sport within the next 24 months. It's just not going to be football.
