Subject: Game #3 Analysis - Mercyhurst

That was absolutely horrible and nowhere near worth my drive and my time. But at least we all know the answer to the trivia question of - Which school did Mercyhurst defeat in their first D-1 versus D-1 game at home?

The good, the bad, and the unknown -

The Good -

*I had a really good burger at the Corner Stone in Erie before the game.

+It was $2 beer night at the game and you can actually buy one at the concession stand throughout the game and take it to your seat.

*Kopa and McMillan can score.

*EVDP I guess. 5 points/2 rebounds/2 assists in 16 minutes.

The Bad -

*Where do I start? I sat behind the bench. They went through the motions. Totally uninspired. No energy whatsoever.

*Turned it over 18 times to their 6.

*We do realize that this is essentially a D-2 team right? The Planutis kid is good and Blunt played a year at Quinnipiac. Reichert is a 6'4" interior guy who was the best big on the floor.

*Godfrey did nothing and certainly didn't play with the same energy he did against two better opponents.

*McMillan had 6 turnovers.

*Oghene played 6 minutes and did not record a stat. Thompson played 3 minutes and recorded two stats - a turnover and a foul.

*It was all just really bad.

The unknown -

*Why was the effort so poor?

*When will they win a game?

*Hoping they aren't looking to fill just three spots next year but maybe 8 or 9.

he brought in a bunch of misfits hoping 7 or 8 could play and only 3 or 4 can. They better figure out recruiting.
