Subject: Jim Christian gets a pass for this year

Canisius could lose every game this year and I would still feel better about Canisius basketball. That's how much I despised Reggie Witherspoon. I don't know if anyone agrees with me, but that's where I am at.

I agree. I've only talked with him twice - two more than I talked to RW - but he's a really good guy and kids are going to want to play for him. No one expected them to be winless at this point and I'm sure it's killing him more than anyone. But I feel really good about where he can take this program in 2-3 years. Hopefully he can get a few JUCO's and portal kids to go with Edwards and whomever returns and begin to turn things around next year.

unfortunately some of the folks on this board are out of touch with regards to reality / expectations. For heavens sake the program has been crap with RW.

Christian will get these guys ready for MAAc play. Yes, it would have been nice to have some wins.

He has all new kids, they’re only now beginning to develop some level of chemistry.

If you care about the program support these kids, coached & athletics.

Jim Christian will get things figured out. It takes times and never easy to rebuild an entire roster with limited resources.

Prior to Christian getting hired, I said Canisius would struggle to win five games in the first year under whoever got the job.

My bias with Jim Christian having covered him the past led me to increase my expectations which was foolish for this year but I still believe in him overall.
