Tough to watch. Wearing down in the second half not a big surprise with only 7 scholarship players available.

Any idea why we were missing players today.

Palesse out today with a hamstring, Will Scott has been out a good part of the year with a knee and TJ Porter out the entire year with a knee. Oghene is no doubt leaving the program. Easterling and Jackson redshirted. 13 - those 6 = the 7 guys dressed today.

Makes absolutely zero sense to red-shirt a healthy kid in the transfer portal era. To maintain a year of eligibility for his next school? This has been an absolute disaster.

Absolutely agree on redshirting no longer logical in this transfer portal age, Easterling was clearly a project so they must of thought they could get by without a true big with clearly disastrous results, probably not many big options though when they got going on recruiting, , they misjudged Obgene 's talent level , initially seemed like they thought he was going to be a stud player, our inability to play interior defense and rebound as someone said puts team in a hole from the tipoff. Christian has got to be beside himself with the results and one can almost see the toll it is taking on him in the interviews. I think in his past success he was a developer of players as they matured in his system so redshirting was probably a thing to consider but as Bona is demonstrating today you win with the best experienced transfers you can get at whatever level your program is at. With the new JC eligibility rule if it stays will make recruiting true freshman a thing of the past .

Exactly. Why get a kid ready for another school. It doesn't make sense. It used to but not now. Some school or schools will be benefit from their Redshirt year here.
