Subject: No Revenue Sharing?

If Canisius has chosen not to participate in revenue sharing—could this signal trouble ahead? Are we financially equipped to sustain Division I status, or are our days at this level numbered?

No one said that the lack of revenue sharing is permanent. Canisius is going to wait a year and see what happens.

UB and Niagara are running such thin margins as it is, I have no idea how they think they'll afford any meaningful revenue sharing.

It's sharing revenue with athletes across all sports, in place of the "traditional" NIL. Canisius and Niagara and many many others across D1 generate such little revenue, opting in or out is really insignificant. I think it makes the most sense to opt out this year and see what this really ends up being.
