Subject: Updated Roster - April 15

Back to 5 open scholarships. Based on what is known as of 4/15 @ 4:00 pm. Class is based upon how players were listed last year and not on how NCAA rulings may have an impact moving forward.

Myles Wilmoth - 6'10" - Grad Student
Marcus Niblack - 6'2" - Senior
Anthony Benard - 6'0" - Junior
Evan van der Plas - 6'5" - Sophomore
Andreo Ash - 6'8" - Freshman
Brendan Oliver - 6'6" - Freshman
Chris Kumu - 6'3" - Freshman
Javante Edwards - 6'1" - Freshman

We need to sign some players. Looks like we are offering multiple players, but not a lot to show for it. And we are losing guys. Just a revolving door. Go Griffs.

There is sadness here. When the revolving door stops revolving the guys have used up all their eligibility and little to show for their college years academically. Are there any studies out there to shoe how often that happens?

Agree with you but these kids don’t care about an education. It’s a cash grab for many. Let’s drop the title of “student athletes”. Gimme a break. Go Griffs!

So, there's a couple of political cartoons out there recently. One is a "Then and Now". In the "Then" the dad is telling the coach, "We want our son to get an education". In the "Now" panel it's, "Show me the money!". The other one has a referee asking the coach," Is your team still in the locker room?". The coach is standing in front of an empty bench. The coach says,"No, they're all in the transfer portal". Bits of truth these days.

Kind of consistent with how the team struggled this year. The talent just was not there. Hopefully, that will change this year. Go Griffs.

I think it depends on who it was. My complete guess - Godfrey yes, McMillan and Thompson likely, Palesse and Scott maybe, Jackson and Easterling unlikely.
