Subject: A shocker?

In October 2023 there was an announcement that CU (no doubt THE POWERS THAT BE) had decided not to reopen Lyons Hall on Main St. after it was damaged in the Blizzard of of December, 2022. It seemed thereafter it was decided to restore the building after all. Today BG was driving down Main St. and, behold, about three and a half years later there is a "For Sale" sign of a very reputable Realtor: "For Sale, Lyons Hall". Will that include the CU dorms apparently on the same property? What's up and why? Are TPTB believing that the outcome will be to the benefit for CU or to rescue her from extension in the long run, now that CU is no longer "land locked" as it once was? Athletics at CU are part of the big picture, especially the "Big Three" MBB, WBB and Hockey. Anyone know what's going on?

They think they can recoup the most money selling Lyons. They'll lose some access to the parking lot in front but no impact the dorms.

Bulldoze it and build a lacrosse/soccer facility there. Then they can start investing in permanent improvements to the softball and baseball fields.

So, BG was driving down Main St. late yesterday afternoon. The "For Sale" was gone. Could it that it was a prank by some members of the Class of 2026 who will be graduating this Saturday?

A beautiful building. Could be a historic site. I hope it doesn't get demoed . Unfortunately, there goes the parking for events in the Montante Center. Go Griffs!!!
