Hi Marcel,

This kinds of question are at the center of object versus relational approaches. For simple data, that can be moduled in tradional fields such as integers, dates, strings, currency, I would simply use a relational approach with columns and rows. Any book an relational databases will guide you on that. And with all relational databases, it is very easy to do adhoc queries.

Object storage should be used when your data is not composed of simple fields, but other objects and types closer to the programming language.
