  • Prayer of the Chalice -- Anonymous, 08:07:01 01/24/02 Thu [1]
Beloved, to Thee I raise my whole being,

a vessel emptied of self. Accept, O Lord,

this my emptiness, and so fill me with

Thy Self --- Thy Light, Thy Love, Thy

Life --- that these Thy precious Gifts

may radiate through me and over-

flow the chalice of my heart into

the hearts of all with whom I

    come in contact this day,

    revealing unto them

    the beauty of

    Thy joy

    and

    Wholeness

    and

    the

    serenity

    of Thy Peace

    which nothing can destroy.

  • I have awakened in Thy shelter -- Anonymous, 08:03:10 01/24/02 Thu [1]
I have awakened in Thy shelter, O my God,
and it becometh him that seeketh that shelter
to abide within the Sanctuary of Thy Protection
and the Stronghold of Thy defense.

Illumine my inner being, O my Lord,
with the splendors of the Dayspring of Thy Revelation,
even as Thou didst illumine my outer being
with the morning light of Thy favor.

  • Charge of the Star Goddess -- Anonymous, 20:19:18 01/09/02 Wed [1]
Hear the words of the Star Goddess,
the dust of whose feet are the hosts of heaven,
    whose body encircles the universe:

I who am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon
among the stars and the mysteries of the waters,
I call upon your soul to arise and come unto me.
For I am the soul of nature that gives life to the universe.
From Me all things proceed and unto Me they must return.
Let My worship be in the heart that rejoices,
for behold-- all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals.
Let there be beauty and strength,
    power and compassion,
    honor and humility,
    mirth and reverence within you.
And you who seek to know Me,
know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not,
    unless you know the Mystery:
for if that which you seek,
    you find not within yourself,
you will never find it without.
For behold, I have been there with you from the beginning,
and I am that which is attained at the end of desire.

  • Look Deeply -- Anonymous, 12:29:16 01/04/02 Fri [1]

Don't say that I will depart tomorrow--even today I am still arriving.

Look deeply: every second I am arriving to be a bud on a Spring branch, to be a tiny bird, with still-fragile wings, learning to sing in my new nest, to be a caterpillar in the heart of a flower, to be a jewel hiding itself in a stone.

I still arrive, in order to laugh and to cry, to fear and to hope. The rhythm of my heart is the birth and death of all that is alive.

I am a mayfly metamorphosing on the surface of the river. And I am the bird that swoops down to swallow the mayfly.

I am a frog swimming happily in the clear water of a pond. And I am the grass-snake that silently feeds itself on the frog.

I am the child in Uganda, all skin and bones, my legs as thin as bamboo sticks. And I am the arms merchant, selling deadly weapons to Uganda.

I am the twelve-year-old girl, refugee on a small boat, who throws herself into the ocean after being raped by a sea pirate. And I am the pirate, my heart not yet capable of seeing and loving.

I am a member of the politburo, with plenty of power in my hands. And I am the man who has to pay his "debt of blood" to my people dying slowly in a forced-labor camp.

My joy is like Spring, so warm it makes flowers bloom all over the Earth. My pain is like a river of tears, so vast it fills the four oceans.

Please call me by my true names, so I can hear all my cries and laughter at once, so I can see that my joy and pain are one.

Please call me by my true names, so I can wake up and the door of my heart could be left open, the door of compassion.

  • Live Like It's Heaven On Earth -- Anonymous, 20:48:31 12/14/01 Fri [2]
Celebrate how blessed you really are.

    Peace and blessings,
    Deborah

"If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100
people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would
    look
    something like the following:

6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth and all 6 would be
    from the United States.

80 would live in substandard housing

70 would be unable to read

    50 would suffer from malnutrition

1 would be near death; 1 would be near birth

1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education

    1 would own a computer

When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need
for acceptance, understanding and education becomes glaringly apparent. The
following is also something to ponder...

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness... you are more
blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation ...you are
ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest,
torture, or death...you are more blessed than three billion people in the
    world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead
and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish
someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare.

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that
someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than
    over
two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

Someone once said: What goes around comes around.

Work like you don't need the money.

Love like you've never been hurt.

    Dance like nobody's watching.

    Sing like nobody's listening.

Live like it's Heaven on Earth."

  • The Winter Will Lose Its Cold -- Anonymous, 21:10:16 12/19/01 Wed [1]
The winter will lose its cold,
as the snow will be without whiteness,
    The night without darkness,
    the heavens without stars,
    the day without light,
The flower will lose its beauty,
    all fountains their water,
    the sea its fish,
    the tree its birds,
    the forest its beasts,
    the earth its harvest -
All these things will pass before
anyone breaks the bonds of our love,
And before I cease caring for you in my heart.
May your days be happy in number as flakes of snow,
    May your nights be peaceful,
and may you be without troubles.

  • "Slow Dance", A Poem and Last Request -- Anonymous, 21:48:20 12/14/01 Fri [1]
This amazing young girl, who is terminally ill with cancer, has, in her last request, transformed her loss and sorrow into a powerful song of hope for others. Her last request is that you pass it on.

She is an angel on earth to have found this way to touch so many people with her gift of poetry and insight, and I hope you will pass it on, and send her loving and heartfelt prayers, as she, without even realizing it, has sent her heartfelt rays to warm so many lives.

"(This poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a New York Hospital.

It was sent by a medical doctor - make sure to read what is in the closing statement AFTER THE POEM.)

    Have you ever watched kids
    On a merry-go-round?
    Or listened to the rain
    Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

    You better slow down.
    Don't dance so fast.
    Time is short.
    The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
    On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
    Do you hear the reply?

    When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
    With the next hundred chores
    Running through your head?

    You'd better slow down
    Don't dance so fast.
    Time is short.
    The music won't last.

    Ever told your child,
    We'll do it tomorrow?
    And in your haste,
    Not see his sorrow?

    Ever lost touch,
    Let a good friendship die
    Cause you never had time
    To call and say hi

    You'd better slow down.
    Don't dance so fast.
    Time is short.
    The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
    Thrown away.

    Life is not a race.
    Do it slower
    Hear the music
    Before the song is over.

    Dear All:
PLEASE pass this mail on to everybody you know. It is the request of a special little girl who will soon leave
this world as she has cancer. Thank you for your effort, this isn't a chain letter, but a choice for all of us to save a little girl that's dying of a serious and fatal form of cancer.

Please send this to everyone you know or don't know. This little girl has 6 months left to live, and as her
dying wish, she wanted to send a letter telling everyone to live their life to the fullest, since she never will. She'll never make it to prom, graduate from high school,
or get married and have a family of her own.

By you sending this to as many people as possible, you can give her and her family a little hope. PLEASE PASS ON AS A LAST REQUEST."

  • "Love Is..." -- Anonymous, 20:24:47 12/14/01 Fri [1]
"Lest we become as little children, we shall not inherit the kingdom of God," or so it is said. Or, as we twenty-fist centurians like to say, "out of the mouths of babes." Here is some ageless wisdom on Love from one of life's most unchanging treasures, children.

"What Does Love Mean?" Posed to children ages 4 - 8

"There are two kinds of love. Our love. God's love. But god makes both kinds of them." - Jenny, 4

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too." - Rebecca, 8

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know eachother so well." - Tommy, 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." - Terri, 7

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth." - Billy, 4

"Love is when mommy sees daddy all smelly and sweaty, and says he is handsomer than Robert Redford." - Chris, 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening your presents and listen." - Bobby, 5

  • Blessed -- Anonymous, 16:46:23 11/22/01 Thu [1]
Blessed are they who give without expecting even thanks in return, for they shall be abundantly rewarded.

Blessed are they who translate every good thing they know into action, for ever higher truths shall be revealed unto them.

Blessed are they who do God's will without asking to see results, for great shall be their recompense.

Blessed are they who love and trust their fellow beings, for they shall reach the good in people and receive a loving response.

Blessed are they who have seen reality, for they know that not the garment of clay but that which activates the garment of clay is real and indestructible.

Blessed are they who see the change we call death as a liberation from the limitation of this earth-life, for they shall rejoice with their loved ones who make the glorious transition.

Blessed are they who after dedicating their lives and thereby receiving a blessing, have the courage and faith to surmount the difficulties of the path ahead, for they shall receive a second blessing.

Blessed are they who advance toward the spiritual path without the selfish motive of seeking inner peace, for they shall find it.

Blessed are they who instead of trying to batter down the gates of the kingdom of heaven approach them humbly and lovingly and purified, for they shall pass right through.

    I reflect upon God's love
    By Luther Elvis Albright

As sleepy days wind down to evening
And eerie shadows fill the room
    The honeysuckle by the window
    Ushers in its sweet perfume.

Outside the wind is softly sighing
    Like a baby’s fretful whine
And the dusk is swiftly creeping
O’er the land by God’s design.

‘Tis then that quiet shrouds my room
and I am trapped in thought
As I reflect upon God’s love
    And beauties He has wrought.

When Love walks in the valley
And I am laid to rest
I trust it will be said of me
He strove to do his best!

Now I say to you in conclusion,

Like the ever-flowing waters of the river,

Like the ever-changing cycle of the seasons,
life has the soothing warmth of its summers
and the piercing chill of its winters.
But if one will hold on,
he will discover that God walks with him,
and that God is able to lift you from the fatigue of despair
    to the buoyancy of hope
and transform dark and desolate valleys
into sunlit paths of inner peace.

  • Immersed -- Anonymous, 07:38:30 11/16/01 Fri [1]
Immersed in infinite energy and love,
I'm part of the eternal flow of things.
No matter when or where or how I move,
whether on earth with wheels or in air with wings,
I am a part of everything that is,
all that has been or will ever be.
Designed by the dreams of all divinities,
all beauty and all Truth are mixed in me.
Knowing this, I shed my shell of doubt,
till free in the freedom of the Mystic Mind
and linked to laws of love, I go about
fulfilling that for which I was designed,
which is to sing myself and try to share
the loveliness of which I am aware.

All I can say is after 29 years I am beginning to hear the language of my spirit and everyday I pray for the understanding of it. I thank you from the core of my heart for your prayers. Nancy

St. Rita of Cascia was accepted into the convent despite an unusual history one does not usually find it the life of a canonized saint - in her case, a marriage to a notoriously violent spouse and widowhood, which should have precluded her from entering the convent. She upheld extraordinary grace and spiritual devotion throughout this and many tumultous sufferings throughout her life, and became known for possessing a gift of miracles through her dedicated prayers. She received a stigmata which she carried to the time of her death, and her body is purported to have remained intact for three centuries after her passing. She is known as the Patroness and Saint of the Impossible.

May that sacred vestment awaken us to serve you, our God, by helping the person near us and the stranger on the street.

Cover our heads with the mantle of fire and light, which shows the presence of your Holy Spirit, that we might pray with great passion and devotion.

  • September 14th - A National Day Of Rememberance -- Anonymous, 18:06:26 09/14/01 Fri [1]
"Sheltered by umbrellas, a crowd of people clustered outside the entrance of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York at the noon hour, spilling onto the sidewalk. Two blocks north, a long line of people streamed into another church on Fifth Avenue.

President George W. Bush Friday led Americans in prayers for the dead and missing in terror attacks in New York and Washington, and warned that the country is "fierce when stirred to anger."

"We are here in the middle hour of our grief. So many have suffered so great a loss and today we express our nation's sorrow. We come today before God to pray for the missing and the dead and for those who love them," Bush said

The mighty gathered in Washington, where Bush and four former presidents assembled at the National Cathedral. Everyday citizens embraced, prayed and cried together in their own houses of worship.

About 3,000 people gathered before the Florida Capitol at noon. A huge flag hung behind political leaders and Christian, Jewish and Muslim representatives.

An ecumenical service at a cathedral in downtown Lansing, Mich., also included speakers from the Islamic, Christian and Jewish faiths.

In Richmond, Va., chapel doors of the First Baptist Church opened for prayers and solace as dawn broke on the national day of mourning Bush called.

"We will pray for our city, we will pray for our nation and we will pray for all the people whose lives have been lost," the Rev. Peter Jamer Flamming said.

Bush urged community groups and places of worships nationwide to hold noontime memorial services, ring bells and set aside time for candlelight vigils. He also encouraged employers to let their workers off to attend.

At a morning service in Connecticut, Gov. John Rowland spoke of a Roman Catholic priest he knew who died on United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston to Los Angeles, which crashed into the trade center."

  • Lives of Anchoresses -- Anonymous, 21:45:22 09/05/01 Wed [1]
"The Anchoress Julian of Norwich was born in late 1342, and may have lived well into the fifteenth century, dying around 1412. We know very few details about her life; in fact, we do not know even know her real name. At some point in her life she became an anchoress -- a vowed solitary who lived a life devoted to prayer and meditation, confined to a cell adjoining a church. In her case, Julian's cell adjoined the church of St. Julian in Norwich, from which we get her pseudonym. Virtually nothing is known about her aside from what she writes -- and she reveals little about herself, preferring instead to talk about her "courteous" God."

"We do know that when she was 30, in May 1373, she became deathly ill, and while on her supposed deathbed she received a series of vivid, profound visions or "showings" -- sixteen visions in which God's love was revealed to her. Julian is best known for her optimism and also for her repeated insistence of naming both God and Christ as "mother." Her theology of the motherhood of God is an anticipation of, and inspiration for, much creative theological and spiritual thought today."

  • Whose Feet Shall The Hermit Wash? -- Anonymous, 22:00:39 08/27/01 Mon [1]
"The real contemplative does not have to withdraw from life to find God. The real contemplative hears the voice of God in the voice of the other, sees the face of God in the face of the other, knows the will of God in the person of the other, serves the heart of God by addressing the wounds, answering the call of the other. "The most valiant monastics," the Rule of Benedict insists, "are those who live in community. . . . Let permission to live alone be seldom given." St. Basil, an early leader of Eastern monasticism, asks pointedly, "Whose feet shall the hermit wash?" The implications are clear. It is human community that tests the spiritual grist of the human being."

"If I demonstrated unusual calm during the recent attempt on my life, it was certainly not due to any extraordinary powers that I possess. Rather, it was due to the power of God working through me. Throughout this struggle for racial justice I have constantly asked God to remove all bitterness from my heart and to give me the strength and courage to face any disaster that came my way. This constant prayer life and feeling of dependence on God have given me the feeling that I have divine companionship in the struggle. I know no other way to explain it. It is the fact that in the midst of external tension, God can give an inner peace."

The bliss of growth, the splendor of beauty,

  • I Will Serve All -- Anonymous, 11:29:59 08/22/01 Wed [1]

I want no monuments on the mountains of human fame but I want secretly to remain in the caves of divine love in souls, and silently to serve them with invisible thoughts of helpfulness.

I would like to dematerialize my body and namelessly and formlessly be the silent divine messenger visiting the dark corners of all souls and kindling candles of peace stolen from the works of silence.

Today I will forgive all who have ever offended me, and I will give my love to all thirsty hearts, both to those who love me and those who do not love me.

I will be the fisher of souls. I will catch the ignorance of others in the net of my wisdom and offer it to the God of all gods.

I will use my money to make the world family better and happier, according to the measure of my ability.

Wherever people appreciate my efforts to do good, I know that there is the place where I can be of greatest service.

I am being tormented by a relative who uses magick as a weapon. He has suceeded in causes much misfortune in my life. I was not always down, he has beaten into submission, and wont stop no matter how bad off I am. He has expressed that death will soon occur after he has caused me to go bald. He's mentioned chakras, so I suspect he is causing my hair to fall out by manipulating my chakras. He has even said things like "wait till you die", as if he has other plans for me after I am dead. He even has said "think you have got it bad now, wait till your dead". He has said that my death will look like a heart attack, my heart has been giveing me problems since. The attacker uses astral projection, and remote viewing, so he knows all I do. He is able to respond to my thoughts, ive been attacked in my dreams by something I could not see. I know it sounds crazy but its true. There is lots more, if you can help, let me know and I will explain further.

  • Going Beyond Emotional Intelligence Through Prayer -- Anonymous, 15:39:04 08/14/01 Tue [1]
"The first step consists of connecting with that universal energy within us and then raising and maintaining it. That means finding ways of remaining in contact with the awe and the beauty of that star-lit night. It means continuing to vibrate with the beauty of a piece of music long after it has ceased to ring in our ears. It means entering into contact with the beauty of all that surrounds us. Effectively, the perception of that enhanced beauty is a sure indicator that we are connected. Emotions like anger, hatred, fear and jealousy all contribute to decrease the level of energy and lower our awareness of the direction to follow.

The second step addresses our becoming aware of our intent (the way we see the world and how we expect things to turn out) and the impact of that intent on the course of things. Effectively, our intent has an impact on the world around us. It does so, not only as suggestions that colour our expectations and sway our acts, but also, more importantly, in that those hard-held thoughts and images directly impact the world. Mystics have long been aware of this fact, but now scientists are beginning to discover the phenomenon as well. We are talking about what Larry Dossey in his book "Healing Words" called the "non-local": the apparently miraculous direct impact of thought, word and action elsewhere at other times, past and future.

The third step concerns how that intent can be channelled, using the energy of our being connected, to create the best possible conditions for the divine course of things to unfurl. There is a catch, however, for all those of us for whom intent implies will power. Our impact is enormous, yet at the same time we cannot force the divine. That is the paradox which has been and continues to be the source of many a tragedy in our attempts to get our own way, as an "advanced society", at the expense of others and the world around us. Our intent needs to be of the highest order yet effortless and without expectation or reward. And what is the "best course"? That more and more people move to a higher level of energy and awareness of the divine in them and the world around them and that their acts be in accordance with that divine energy."

"May the meaning of our life be real
May fear not force us to conceal
May the hope we search for and the wealth
    Be found complete within ourself.
And may we only look outside with love, not desperation
Like the sun, may we shine bright without any expectation.

May the world not disappoint us
    May rejection's pain be turned
    From sadness and frustration
To the place where truth is learned.
And may we learn that all is well and perfect as our breath
May we dedicate our work to love and neither seek nor fear our death.

May we grow to be the one we are
    And challenge even fate,
    Never bothered by defeat
    Or that the hour's late.
May we love the ones we love with all the strength we can employ.
May we live our life with wonder, with merriment and joy."

Transforming Union (the abiding experience of being rooted in the divine within us).

    "Death of the false self.

    Empathy - concern for others without emotional involvement;

Freedom to be present to people at the deepest level.

Energy to serve God and the needs of others.

The Holy Spirit suggests all actions.

Restructuring of consciousness reveals new dimensions of reality:

Transcending the world without leaving it.

Non-possessive attitude uses the good things of life as stepping-stones to God.

God's presence is perceived in every experience.

    Service without expectation of reward.

  • "Adorations of the Dove" -- Anonymous, 08:55:30 07/30/01 Mon [1]
Dove of white fire, burning bright,
Cleave the sun from amber light.

Become the veil of the moon,
    Mists arising from Earth's womb.

He comes, He comes the dawn,
He comes the brown and silver fawn.

He comes, He comes the eventide,
He comes for all who walk the path that he abides.

Dove of Grace, he keeps us in his feathered fold,
His Spirit in the smallest bird who braves the winter cold.

He comes the rose, He comes the rain,
He comes the hands that touch and heal the pain.

He comes the night, He comes the day,
He comes the Morning Star above to light the way.

Whiteness of the Flame, soft against our cheek,
Still the tears, stay the fears

    His presence is proclaimed
The Morning Star is risen once again.

  • May All Things Be A Source Of Peace... -- Anonymous, 20:56:20 07/08/01 Sun [1]
I desire neither earthly kingdom, nor even freedom from birth and death.
I desire only the deliverance from grief of all those afflicted by misery.
Oh Lord, lead us from the unreal to the real from darkness to light from death to immortality.
May there be peace in celestial regions.
May there be peace on earth.
    May the waters be appeasing
May herbs be wholesome and may trees and plants bring peace to all.
May all beneficent beings bring peace to us.
May thy wisdom spread peace all through the world.
May all things be a source of peace to all and to me.

  • In The Hollow Of His Hands And The Curve Of Her Arms... -- Anonymous, 20:50:35 07/08/01 Sun [1]
Let us pray to the One who holds us in the hollow of
    His hands,
To the One who holds us in the curve of Her arms,
To the One whose flesh is the flesh of hills and
    hummingbirds and angleworms,
Whose hair is like the aurora borealis, rainbows,
nebulae, waterfalls, and a spider's web,
Whose eyes sometime shine like the Evening Star,
and then like fireflies, and then again like an
    open wound,
Whose touch is both the touch of life and the touch
    of death,
And whose name is everyone's, and mine...
    And what shall we pray?
    Let us say, "thank you."

  • When All The Stars Are Dead -- Anonymous, 19:58:37 07/08/01 Sun [1]

Center of all centers, core of cores,
    almond self-enclosed and growing sweet-
all this universe, to the furthest stars
and beyond them, is your flesh, your fruit.

    Now you feel how nothing clings to you;
your vast shell reaches into endless space,
and there the rich, thick fluids rise and flow,
    Illuminated in your infinite peace.

A billion stars go spinning through the night,
    blazing high above your head.
But in you is the presence that
will be, when all the stars are dead.

"We call upon the earth, our planet home, with its beautiful depths and soaring
heights, its vitality and abundance of life, and together we ask that it

Teach us, and show us the Way.

We call upon the mountains, the Cascades and the Olympics, the high green
valleys and meadows filled with wild flowers, the snows that never melt,
the summits of intense silence, and we ask that they

Teach us, and show us the Way.

We call upon the waters that rim the earth, horizon to horizon,
that flow in our rivers and streams, that fall upon our gardens and fields
    and we ask that they

Teach us, and show us the Way.

We call upon the land which grows our food, the nurturing soil, the fertile fields
the abundant gardens and orchards, and we ask that they

Teach us, and show us the Way.

We call upon the forests, the great trees reaching strongly
to the sky with the earth in their roots and the heavens in their branches,
the fir and the pine and the cedar, and we ask them to

Teach us, and show us the Way.

We call upon the creatures of the fields and forests and the seas,
our brothers and sisters the wolves and deer, the eagle and dove,
    the great whales and dolphin,
the beautiful Orca and salmon who share our Northwest home,
    and we ask them to

Teach us, and show us the Way.

We call upon all those who have lived on this earth,
    our ancestors and our friends,
who dreamed the best for future generations, and upon whose lives our lives are built,
and with thanksgiving, we call upon them to

Teach us, and show us the Way.

And lastly, we call upon all that we hold most sacred,
the presence and power of the Great Spirit of love and truth
which flows through all the Universe, to be with us to

Teach us, and show us the Way."

  • "We Can Find Sermons In Stone" -- Anonymous, 09:38:38 06/28/01 Thu [1]
    This is God's World...
His Name of Wonder is etched on every snowflake...
And is silhoutted by the triumph of each sunrise...
Every flower is a beautiful sign to us...
That our world is God's World...
By the fullness of Heaven and Earth...
    We know God...
Who else but God---in His Infinite Wisdom---
Would stretch rivers like silver ribbons...
    Across the continents...
Or gently lay green blankets across the rolling hills...
Only God could conceive the enormous sundown...
That vaults the horizon in awsome Majesty...
Only God could pierce the sky with stars...
That we might look into His Heaven...
And the world God has made is a Holy place...
    It is His own Cathedral...
Filled with birds singing anthems of praise...
Graced with the ritual of the changing seasons...
God's World is full of knowledge and inspiration...
We can find sermons in stone...
There are pathways to follow that lead away from self...
And close to the heart of God...
    Yes, this is God's World...
A world that He has fashioned for us...
And just as the moon reflects...
The brilliance and splendor of the sun...
So can our lives reflect the power and glory...
The joy and beauty of God...
In whose image we are created.

Embody your desire in every light and form.
Grow through us this moment's bread and wisdom.
Untie the knots of failure binding us,

Help us not forget our Source,

    Choosing Courage

    Turn me toward the light.
    Uncover the choices that flourish
    When I relinquish my yesterdays.

    Turn me toward the light.
    Unveil the hopes that grow
    When I face my realities.

    Turn me toward today.
Turn me to a vision of possibilities,
    That denies apprehensions.

    Turn me toward today.
Turn me to this moment of extension,
    That opens old constrictions.

    Before me You place iridescence
    To soften brittle sorrows.
Let me rest on the cushion of Your care,
    Comforted by Your regard.

Beside me You heap soft pillows
    To ease ancient grief.
Bolster my courage with Your kindness
    As You support my head.

Stretch the stiff limbs of my confusion,
    And let me rise, renewed,
    To turn into Your light.
