I started on the bass drum when I was in Junior High and quickly moved to playing the snare drum for the rest of that year, etc. (and I was a girl and that was back in 1988 in Iowa, although I was born in CA and live in CA now). :)

I guess my mom taught me to be a super strong female. ;)

By the way, after I stopped playing the snare drum, I was "forced" (or strongly encouraged, due to extreme need) to switch to the trombone and ended up playing that for the rest of junior high and all throughout high school and for the first two years of college in a somewhat famous traveling marching band in CA. :)

I figured that continuing to play the trombone would be good to meet guys. ;)
