I posted this to the poetry corner of new message board and thought I would post here in case anyone has not been familiar with the new message board. Hope you like. Perry On!

SING TO ME

Whatever happened to the singer
who sang for you and sang for me.
The singer of the song
who set my soul free.
I only ask him this one question:
Singer, please sing to me.

I need to hear that melodic voice
that magical voice
that special gift from up above.
He's the one who sings to me
a song so rare and true.
So I ask you again,
Singer, please sing to me.

The songs that you sing
of love and special things
mean's oh so very much.
You have a voice so rare and true
Again I ask of you;
Singer, please sing to me.

The bond between the singer and listener
is something so rare and true
that only the singer can feel
and the listener can hear.
So I ask him once again;
Singer, please sing to me.

Singer if you hear my prayer
sing a song so rare and true,
Something new out of the blue.
It's just you I want to hear
To let me feel that you are near.

Even though you're very far
you've always been my shining star.
Please comeback and sing oh, please
Singer, please come sing to me.
