Subject: Journeyful Christmas Behind the forum pt. 11

Jon had a busy morning. Once the beds were changed and made the laundry needed to be done. Jon had baked some bread and rolls early in the morning. He had so many things to do. Jon started vacuuming. While vacuuming Jon was singing along to the noise.

JC: “We work hard for the money. So hard for it honey.”

As Jon was vacuuming behind the couch the vacuum hit something.

JC: “What is this?” Oh Goody, goody Santa left me a present. Oh boy have I been good. First the novel and chocolates now this. Goody! Goody! Hey there is a tape in this cassette player. Ooh…maybe Christmas songs.”

Jon finished vacuuming. He puts the headphones on and listens to the tape he found. Jon’s eyes grow wide as he is listening to this. It’s Christmas music alight. The tape has about 8 songs. As Jon rewinds the tape he hears the doorbell ring. Jon open’s the door to see Neal and Ross standing there.

NS: “Jon we need to talk about what happened. Can we come in.”?

JC: “I don’t know can you?”

RV: “Mother may I?”

NS: “Jon can we come in or not?”

JC: “Yeah come in. Wipe your feet first I just vacuumed.”

NS: “You still doing that domestic thing Jon?”

JC: “NOT domestic! I’m a house husband!”

RV: “Your house has a wife?”

NS: “Ross no house has a wife. I meant Jon was a house…”

JC: “You’ll never believe what Santa left me.”

RV: “Santa came already. I have to go home and let Santa in. No chimney.”

JC: “No Santa hasn’t comeback since my party. He left something.”

RV: “Phew! I thought Santa was on his way to my place. That’s a load off my brain.”

NS: “Jon we need to talk.”

JC: “Neal your eye is not swollen shut anymore. Can you see me?”
RV: “NEAL CAN’T SEE! Neal drove over here fine for someone who can’t see.”

NS: “What! I can see. Ross are we going to fast for you?”

RV: “I thought we stopped driving. We…”

NS: “Forget it. Jon what did Santa leave you?”

JC: “A Christmas tape. Do you know there is another band out there that sounds just like Journey? They are great.”

NS: “There’s what? Another Journey.”

RV: “Journey’s getting back to…”

NS: “NO! We are not Ross.”

JC: “Here listen to this.”

Jon puts the tape in. Neal and Ross listen. After about 4 songs Ross realizes it’s not a group that sounds like Journey it is JOURNEY. Finally Neal catches on.

RV: “Aaaahhhhh Helllllllooooo! Jon that’s us singing.”

NS: “Yeah that’s us. Hey wait a minute what were you trying to do Jon, make some extra Christmas cash on the side?”

JC: “No, honestly I found this. It was behind the couch right over there.”

RV: “Santa was right behind the couch. When? Where?”

NS: “Not Santa the cassette player.”

JC: “There are 8 songs. What should we do?”

RV: “Shouldn’t we talk to Steve and see if Santa left him the same gift.”

JC: “Oh boy! After what happened I don’t know if he’ll talk to us. This time Ross YOU make the call.”

NS: “Yeah Ross YOU make the call. Tell Steve we’ll meet him. Let him pick the place.”

Cautiously Ross dials Steve’s number. It rings. A woman answer’s the phone.

W: “Hello, Steve Perry’s house.”

RV: “Aaaaahhhhhh Hellllloooooo is Steve there?’

W: “Hold on.”

Ross looking at Neal and Jon.

RV: “I think it was Rachael on the phone.”

NS & JC: “Ross don’t think.”

W: “Who’s calling?”

RV: “Tell him Robert DeNiro.” Ross says while laughing. Jon and Neal wish that hadn’t let Ross make the call.

W: “Hold on.”

While Ross is waiting he hears a lot of noise and laughing. Finally Steve comes to the phone.

SP: “Hello Ross…Robert Mr. DeNiro.”

RV: “Aaaaahhhhh Helllllllooooo.”

SP: “Ross couldn’t you have been more imaginative. Robert DeNiro?”

RV: “How did you know it was me?”

SP: “Wasn’t hard. You know I’m still upset with you Ross. You must want something.”

RV: “Well Santa left Jon this tape of Journey Christmas songs and well…”

SP: “What? Ross please be specific. Jon has a tape of Journey Christmas songs. We never made a Christmas album. What is really going on here Ross?”

RV: “Really Jon found a tape of us singing Christmas songs. It’s your voice singing with us. Jon and Neal want to talk with you about what to do with this.”

SP: “How’s Neal’s eye? Can he see yet? Me… us singing.”

RV: “He can see. Really it’s you singing with us.”

SP: “Alright. I’ll meet you at Rosie’s Dinner for lunch at 1 p.m. today. Do you know where that is?”

RV: “Neal? Jon? Do you know where Rosie’s Dinner is? Steve we know.”

SP: “Ross let Neal drive. You’ll get lost and Jon will make you late. This better be good. Bye.”
