She bounds over towards her dam and half-sister; she too is uneasy about the silence from the others. She knows they dislike Pepsi, and perhaps even her a little, but to stay away completely...? She snickers softly, standing a few paces away, head and tail high.

She returns the call in only the way a mother can to her foal, eyes wondering. This herd is no longer active. Would her daughters join her if she wandered elsewhere? Life without a herd would not be safe; but do they even have a herd now...?
