The little one slept peacefully, her eyes closed, head ersting on the sand.

Satrika looked once to the little girl and nodded. "Yes, she's cte. Wish I could give her more than she gets though. But she doesn't seem to complain." she looked worried momentarily. "Or at least, not to me..."

She smiled at Thorn and Aly, joining in the covnersation. "Oh, I'm sure he ran away the first chance he had, Aly. Unless this 'knight in shining armour' can prove to me just how brave he is...."

Aiko's eyes fluttered open for a moment, and she turned her head to the side, marveling at the firelizard on Thorn's shoulder. Was she asleep? She'd neverseen firelizards this close up before- mother said they were bad creatures.. Not that the young one believed that of course, and she had always gone to see of she could find some. Never did. She stopped her wondering again, eyes closing once more and falling into slumber. If she hadn't been dreaming of firelizards before- she was now.
