Subject: Contemplation and coping methods

Hey everyone.
It's been a while. However, that seems like a pattern for me. I post, then lurk, then just don't visit for a while, then think of/find something that makes me think of everyone here and then I post again.
I've been doing a bit of soul searching lately. I've been trying to look at things in different ways, even trying BC's dissecting of words and phrases, trying to find alternate meanings, etc. I'm not sure if I'm any closer to finding the answers I seek but I'm trying to learn as much as I can along the way.
In my search, I've stumbled upon some amazing music. I hope you enjoy it.

good mornin' Kell!
i've missed you 'round here! :)

i liked the song so much that i wanted to take a closer look at the lyrics ...
- here's what i found

"I've have called you children
I have called you son
What is there to answer
If I'm the only one
Morning comes in Paradise
Morning comes in light
Still I must obey
Still I must invite"

"If there's anything to say
If there's anything to do
If there's any other way
I'd do anything for you"

"I was dressed in embarassment
I was dressed in white
If you had a part of me
Will you take your time
Even if I come back
Even if I die
Is there some idea
To replace my life"

"Like a father to impress
Like a mother's mourning dress
If we ever make a mess
I'll do anything for you"

"I have called you preacher
I have called you son
If you have a father
Or if you haven't one"

- "I'll do anything for you" ...
- (repeating line)

- "I did everything for you" ...
- (repeating line)

"one by one" ...
"victories" ...
- both great and small ...
are "won by one" ...
- both individually ...
- and, united as "one"
"one day at a time"! :)

upon making a search, learned something new ...
re: "history" ...
"Which president won by only one electoral vote?" ...
- Rutherford B. Hayes in 1876

then i found some quotes of President Hayes that i really liked ...
- "conscience is the authentic voice of God to you ..."
- "take counsel of hopes rather than of fears ..."
BC
