FYI- Were not wealthy, famous, or seeking publicity. We have ten states participating. Start your own Hands Across America- Ace Hardware joined in too. We will work until the needs are filled. This is a tragic situation- the aftermath is discusting- There is a definite lack of action by the powers that be. One third of hospital staff became patients in the M A S H . They couldn't be sent home as most lost their homes, jobs, everything. God Bless America-JAC

Jac - Members from our church go to Joplin each Saturday from where we are in Springfield to work with various groups at various sites. There is still a ton of work to be done. However, I have recently heard several times now from several media outlets and charities that non-monetary donations were not being accepted, that there is no place to store much of what is being sent there and that the charities there were being overwhelmed. That's why it would seem there has been "little assistance." I'm sure it's not from a lack of generosity, but from some serious misinformation.
