(1) I think Scott McNeil would come if he could. I heard he loves conventions and he loves Transfans! Apparently he was the one who talked Alec Willows into coming to a con once. Hmmm... I wonder if he'd be willing to travel as far south as Australia?

(2) What you said about Hasbro not actually knowing the children to fan ratio of consumers comes as a surprise to me -- but I believe you. Hasbro should just do what Takara's always done and include a self addressed survey card with their toys. It's relatively inexpensive and it's a good way to gauge their consumer base. Hasbro often seems out of touch with fans compared to Takara -- and I think one reason for that is because Takara has that survey card thing.

Anyone who's ever purchased a Japanese Transformer in box will have seen one of these little cards. I've filled and sent in a few myself, just to let Takara know that they have consumers outside Japan.
