First of all, please watch your language in your posts. It is a board rule that you refrain from using coarse/offensive language.

>I said, "Look, we,ve got a strict rule on this shit.

>we should stand around and do nothing. "

On one hand, the lady was obviously exercising her civil rights, but on the other hand, perhaps you should have expelled all the parties involved.

>"What you're supposed to do is get a bouncer ...", I

>is this guy standing here with a broken nose?"

Yeah, I agree with you on that. The law clearly states that you cannot use greater force than your opponent in self defence -- you can only use equal or lesser force. If that man had merely grabbed/groped someone, then breaking his nose is clearly a case of using excessive force, which is illegal.

>This
>really pissed her off. "You asshole", she said,

"Asshole?" I thought only Americans used that word. Oh well, it would explain some things about her...

>
>"Alright ladies", I said, "it's time to go."
>"I want to talk to your boss", she responded.
>"I am the boss around here. I'm in charge and you're

>"You better call up your boss because if you touch me
>I'll break you nose too."
>

She can't say that to you. That's assault.

>This was a mistake. I don't like being threatened.

Of course not -- and you had every right to hit her there and then.

>First I turned to the guy with a bloody nose. "Go tell
>them that I sent you over for a free drink. You get to
>stay. How do you 2 like them apples?"

I don't understand why you let that guy stay though. Okay, the woman may have used excessive force in self defence, but he was also part of the situation. I think you should've ejected both of them from the club, because groping women is sexual harassment, which is also illegal.

Well, it depends on what style of Taekwondo. The majority of schools here teach the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) style of Taekwondo, which is essentially a SPORT established by the South Korean government around 1973. It is essentially useless in combat, as you've experienced.

International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) style of Taekwondo is essentially a modified form of Shotokan Karate and is much more substantial in a fight. It's not spectacular, mind you, but it's a far cry better in combat than WTF Taekwondo. If someone comes up to me and says, "I'm a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo," my first question is "which style?" and if it turns out to be WTF TKD, my reaction is, "...so?"

Even the Australian TKD Gold Medallist (WTF TKD is now an Olympic Sport, since Sydney 2000) admits that she cannot fight. She does it as a sport. People who do WTF TKD and think that they can actually use that form in a fight are kidding themselves. Although I don't doubt that she broke the other guy's nose, I am suspicious as to whether she did so with a TKD move or not. And even if she did, I wonder how uncoordinated or intoxicated that man must've been to be able to take that kind of damage from a WTF TKD fighter.

Taekwondo was born from and is perpetuated by Korean nationalistic propaganda.

>By this time the bouncers had arrived and I let them
>have the chick. When she got her wind back and the
>bouncers picked her up, she started cursing me again.
>I just grinned at her because we both knew she had
>learned a lesson.

"learnt."

>There are some men a karate chick
>can mess with and there are some they can't.

Karate? Throughout this most, didn't you say that she did Taekwondo?
