I hate people who grope. If I know I only have one chance and one chance only to win the confrontation, I would use overwhelming force regardless of the threat in question.

So maybe what the girl did was the right thing to do. Taking into account that she is not just defending herself, but also protecting her friend.

Tae Kwon do doesn't deal with in close combat, so the options for her response are limited. In response to you grabbing her wrist, her reaction was jusified as you had no right to be grabbing her in the first place. The lesson learned for her is to have taken out your eyes instead of just bursting your lip - remembering she only has one chance.

If I were a causal oberver in the club and seeing what you had done, I would have used overwhelming force to take you out, something she would wish to have done.
