Get the child tested...the genetic link in your family is clear as well as other signs. The teacher is wrong. Some, not all, teachers are not skilled or certified to tell a parent to wait. Where a her data to support her statement. Her data points to a need for evaluation. Go to the Wrightslaw website--read "catch them before the fall". If you do not get support for your husband, get creative and do some stuff at home such as us g the web enabled Lexia program, apps IPad, etc. to help. I must advise you that your child will co to use to fall behind without interventions.
