The team arrived from the brig in silence. There was no need for words now as the capsule launched into the Outer Perimeter. The decision reached in the trial had now been executed and, though these soldiers felt safer, none allowed a sigh of relief. They had done their duty and would do so again, and the populace on board might finally begin to feel safe after the back-to-back onslaught of first the WR@, then the recently discarded offender.

But they were experienced and knew evil had a way of resurfacing, and that this scum's accomplices still had to answer for their actions, especially one orphan-maker in particular who had taken one of their own. Many, of their own in fact, were gone, too many following the losses they had just suffered.

Let the civilians and guests feel safe now but not these soldiers; it simply wasn't in their job description....
