Subject: Back to back Feises: 10/28 and 10/29 Chicago Halloween Feis/Mullane-Godley Feis

The Mullane Godley Academy will once again host the annual Chicago Halloween Feis on Saturday, October 28, and the Mullane Godley Fall Feis on October 29, at the McCook Athletic and Exposition Center in McCook, IL.

On Saturday, we strongly encourage all dancers, parents, and friends to come in their best Halloween costumes. In addition, all proceeds from the halloween costumed Treble Reel competition will be donated to Breast Cancer Awareness charities.

On Sunday, we are happy to provide a new competition - "Future Champs" which is available to grade level dancers who are preparing for the Oireachtas. The competition will be run similiar to the Oireachtas with dancers doing their three hard shoe steps, three soft shoe steps, and will be adjudicated by a 3 judge panel. Great experience for Future Champs preparing for the Oireachtas to do all three steps in front of a 3 judge panel.

The goal of a blackout feis is for the dancers to focus on the dancing, not the costumes and the bling. All dancers (from first feis through and including open champions) are asked to leave the formal costumes at home and dance in modest, simple attire in black or white.
