...as the Autobot security officer staggered over to the closed room where FORTRAN worked. Lying weakly on a hovercart was an unconscious Fireshard, and though the window offered little view, Rotor managed to see she had sustained some kind of lower abdominal injury. FORTRAN was hard at work mending her.

Had she been impaled by one of the daggers the demons must have used? The knife left behind in the residential sector couldn't have done the kind of damage that would occupy FORTRAN for so long in a private room. Maybe she had snuck off while the squirrels battled the demons, taking advantage of the distraction? But that still didn't explain what had happened to her afterwards. Somewhere on the station there had to be a clue, or so Rotor thought. The possibility that the damage had in fact been sustained off Rugby didn't occur to the lieutenant, whose reasoning was becoming cloudier with each new burden foisted upon him. And so, at the worst possible time, a clicking sound alerted him to another concerned observer. Within seconds, Rotor was behind the curtain concealing Rampage, his forearm blaster out and pointed at the Predacon.

"YOU did this?" he snarled, barely keeping his voice at a whisper, "It wasn't enough you and yer orphan-maker girlfriend landed the warden in here, but you had to target your own DAUGHTER? Hasn't she suffered enough?! Primus, but hasn't RUGBY suffered enough? You got a death wish the way you keep comin' back here, crab?!

We were just discussing when lethal force is acceptable, me and my half-dead squirrel friends. Considering the sham of a trial I was sitting through for that murdering buddy of yours, I'd say some of the arguments are mighty tempting.

So come on 'daddy'...give me an excuse...I'd love to pull the trigger."

As the two confronted one another, each as concerned about Fireshard as the other, would she be aware of it? Once before she had spoken with Rampage telepathically, when she was brought in. Would she be able to now? Would she be able to reach Rotor despite the built-in firewall that shielded all Cybertronian security officers? In his distracted, tense stae would she be able to get through? Both robots, enemies, would need to work together to find Scaleblade and help Fireshard. But, as the tension mounted, whether or not they could work past their differences was swiftly becoming a serious question...
