"Blasted fool lucky to be alive....let me tell you what tangling with one of THEM has done for you.

Multiple contusions and lacerations. Bruised ribs, one broken. A concussion. Internal bleeding which we've gotten under control now. Your nose will permanently be out of shape unless you choose additional corrective surgery. We've regenerated a good portion of your skin that the laserburns damaged, but we can only do so much. You'll need time to heal so the rest is up to you.

We've set up a frequency modulator to regulate your pain. If you like, I can order a morphine drip if the sonics aren't enough to soothe you.

Now get some rest and stay out of trouble."

As he walked off to check on other patients, heading toward some greenish-orange reptillian alien across the way, Charlie could hear him mumbling, "Blasted FOOL...they're dangerous, all of them. You can tell them and you can show them, but some just have to learn the hard way..."
