[occ-sorry, lol, been gone and since i'm back i'm going on an RPGing spree. i'll try to stop poping up and torturing your characters. -grins-]

.x. shifts, watching the scene from the frame of the door. his face is emotionless, and the boy doesn't wince at the sound of the stabbing which he'd heard countless times on the streets. he'd even killed a few kids, or wounded them fataly in gang wars. that'd been the way it was. now was no different to him. he moves away from his spot, walking to the dead man, then checking the noble for a pulse at his wrist. no beat. a barely audible murmer slipped from his mouth, along the harsh lines of, "he deserved his end," and he remained crouched, sqautting almost. his head turned sharply, and he spoke in a medium tone, just as roughly as his movement had been. "he's dead. gone. people die all the time. he's just another corpse, another fool lost. take it, and live with it." his manner wasn't sympethetic but it wasn't completely cruel, though it mayhaps have seemed that way. it was the life he knew, the truth he knew, and he was sharing his knowledge. in a way, he too looked down his nose, but at these people, not beggars, like a red-tail peering down from a lofty perch, keen-eyed and alert. hatred was inbreed, carved into his bones and coursing in his blood, just as it was in their type folk. it was natural instinct, the intense anger and rift between a royal and a theif, and so took a great leap, and almost a miracle to breach the gap.

[occ-sorry if it's really confusing. got all speechy at the end, lol.]
