Terrence pulled his head off of the table. His nap left a bit of a hangover, but he'd had worse. The booth had become surprisingly empty. Only Tempus remained; he was passed out. Irked his newfound friends were so quick to abandon him, he slid out of the booth...and bumped into the mob he'd been left for. Terrence shoved his way to the front with ease, only to find Willam "Ghost" Mosier dumping money into a large pile. The portly girl and the saucy maid droid thanked him, one sobbing, the other giving inviting looks.

"Willam!" Terrence said. "Who are these two ladies?"

Willam drunkenly gave an expository reply. "Y'know Shpaceman Bill? Tha hee-ro of hee-roesh? Shaved thish shtation wit' 'ish bare hands!"

"What? That doesn't even—"

"Welllllllp, he'sh dead! Yyyyyep! And thish ish 'ish widow! Preggersh, too! Tripletsh or shomefun'." He guffawed, slapping Jill on the back. Terrence quirked his eyebrow at his incredibly insensitive drinking buddy. But he got to thinking...hero's widow? Now that's a way to gain acceptance. This poor, poor girl needs someone to comfort her...why not him?

"I am Terrence Lucian Basil the second, my dear. I am pleased to meet you." He said with a smooth smile, sliding into the seat next to Jill. "Excuse my intoxicated acquaintance. I never got your name...."

"Jill...uh, Spacegal Jill." She said with a half-smile as she wiped a tear aside. She may have been mourning her "husband," but this one-eyed, green-haired gentleman was deviously attractive. "A-and this is Paula."

Her azure android gave a flirtacious wink. Terrence seemed uninterested. He inched closer to Jill. "I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I'm sure he would have made a great father," he said, patting her stomach. His smile became a bit uneasy when it sunk in a few inches. Jill's smile took on the same look. They both shared a nervous laugh.

"Say, um, do you have a place to stay? I myself am new here, and if you need a room at the hotel I'd be happy to help you...."

Jill inched closer to Terrence. "Really? You'd do that for me?"

"Ahem." Jill and Terrence turned to Paula, who was tapping her fingers on the table.

"Oh...yeah. That's Paula." Jill sighed, and hands returned to their rightful owners. "It's getting late, I vote we find a room."

"Attention!" Shouted Terrence, leaping to his feet. "Our visitors are very weary, and would love to thank you all for the support and sympathy. Now, if you excuse us, we've a hotel to find."

Automatically last-minute donors began dropping money and suggestions. Terrence shot a grin at the ladies, and within moments they were on their way.
