Gabe reached into a pouch on the side of his SBR slacks finding his old thermal gloves and chuckling he hadn't thought of this sooner. Then again, it had taken time to realize and come to terms with the changes he had undergone. It wouldn't do to accidentally freeze Maudlin, the way he had monce frozen Cyclodrone Carl.

Carl....those others. So many new acquaintances were lost, and now Gabe was cut off once more from those who still remained. Gali, Kopaka, even that mystery woman Verge who was responsible for his current whereabouts and the other robot he had been trying to help.

"Friends have been calling me Icevein," he said as he climbed into Maudlin and the Autobot began driving. "...but don't get too attached. Lately it seems as soon as I make a new friend, I'm already off somewhere new. Never expected to ever see Cybertron first-hand though; if this is what it's always like it explains the attitude of a lot of my colleagues. I get back to Rugby, I'm gonna have some tales to tell...."

"What's this 'Rugby' place you keep mentioning? Some kind of stellar human sporting complex?"

"What? How could you not know....wait, it was the Vehicon occupation, wasn't it? Memory not what it--

Maulin!!! LOOK OUT!"

Before them, a portion of the bridge glowed as it was absorbed by several drones, and as swift as Icevein shouted his warning the van was already over the edge and airborne....
