He'd make a great Oedipus.

Seriously, what qualities do you need in Oedipus? He lived thousands of years ago, and is not a well known celebrity, so you don't really need someone that looks like him. And we don't know what his personal characteristics or personality traits were like - so I figure just about anyone could play him.

I say, if you don't know who to play him, you can't go wrong with Will Forte.
