Subject: 1900, "Quantum Radiation"

Beginning the 20th Century, Max Planck introduced the
"Quantum Theory of Radiation". A revolutionary concept,
that the Energy states of an oscillator must be an integral
multiple of the product of a constant (he Math. derived and
designated as "h") and the frequency (f) of the electromagnetic radiation it emits. Let E = the smallest
Energy change, Planck formulated E = h f. --- This led to the discovery that radiation is emitted in discontinuous, discrete bundles of Energy, each equal to h f.
