It's really hard to make the decision to treat, and then to have to wait-- well that sux, if you'll forgive a 'technical term'! When you asked about MediCal, that makes me think you're in my state, California. If you're in the San Jose area, we have a support group that meets twice a month. You can find out lots there!

The first number that Theresa posted, Schering's 'Commitment to Care' program, is a place they've set up to help you interface with various insurances, and if you have no source of funding, Schering can and will actually pay for the medications. Please give them a call. Good luck with everything! And -- about the ex: my advise is the same; at this point it's not his business. By the way, HepC is rarely transmitted sexually; blood would have to be present on both sides(sides?). Usually it's the ol' needles, whether administered by a doc or by yourself.
