As soon as I mounted him and took up the reins and was tossing his head and stomping his hooves. So I warmed him up a little, then took the first jumps at a canter. A long grassy straight was set out ahead of me. As soon as I squeezed he flung himself forward, his breath came out in clouds in the morning air. He tuck the next jump at a gallop, his heart lept at every fence! He was improving. An amazing Cross Country stallion I got here! I dismounted and gave him a good pat and a fuss, and ran up his stirrups and led him back to the stable yard...
