yes it does. an idiot by definition is someone with an extremely low iq. intelligence quotum.

that's simply because they have a high score in one aspect of the IQ range and low ones in others. this does not make them idiots however. in my case, my intelligence is most in the creative aspects, aswell as language, history, psychology, geography, and less in math and physics. not that i'm an idiot concerning those you see, but whilst i could be considered a genius in the first, i could be considered "average" on the latter.

but that's not the original point, calling someone an idiot does most definitely have something to do with their IQ.
