An insult is necessarily a constituent of consciousness. What is the present state of consciousness, but somnolent inattention? To wake up,so as to impart knowledge is the function of the ordinary teacher.But the very rooting out of knowledge-gathering, picking up a crumb here dropping something elsewhere is not this learning of intelligence. Gurdjieff or K,has to employ a powerful sureshot method of the moment.The Master who is awareness personified, knows When ego is not protected there is no pain/insult.
