...as he and another strange robot walked in and found a darkened booth in the corner of the establishment, out of earshot.

"Okay, this is as good a place to talk as any...so let's talk.

You and Scaley're 'shard's parents, right? How's that work exactly? I mean, even putting aside basic Transformer life processes, how do two evil perps like you an' the dragoness get such a silent, sweet kid? And what would Scaleblade have to gain by offin' her?

I spent some time as a profiler early in my career...there's always a motivation, something behind a sick thrill. Even seemingly random carnage can be traced back to a reason. It may not make sense to a rational mind, but to the criminal mind it does enough to motivate the action. That's the real puzzle. Even if she attacked her for the fun of it, what underlying reason made it "fun."? Is it shame? Scaley trying to erase a daughter she doesn't want to admit? Or did Fireshard pose some threat to her? Did she know SBR security had been contacted?

Come on...you know those two better than anyone. Even if you don't know, your speculation as to motive will probably be closer to the mark than mine. We gotta get in her head and think like she does, or we're never gonna find her..."

Rotor smiled as the waitress brought two mocha energesspressos. He waited for Rampage to share whatever he knew or thought....
