Author: QoC
Subject: Being impatient, rejoining. If it isn't kosher, just smack me upside the head with something heavy.

Name: Liraz
Gender: Female
Age: 20 (Yeah, I aged her a bit.)
Appearance:
If anyone remembers Liraz-the-candidate, seeing her now will shock them. Before, she had been muscular, well-tanned and healthy-looking from all the time she spent in the sun, on the sea, and eventally in the air; Now, she looks thin, even emaciated, emphasizing her height, and her skin has a greyish cast to it, though she is still darker than the average Pernese. Her hair is still impossibly curly and black, and still encrusted with salt and sand more often than not, and she still wears the same sword, though it has rusted a bit. Even though she looks wasted and worn out, her smile still glitters and is almost always there, though less than before her absence, and something in her black eyes is all wrong, though it would be hard for anyone but Gaiath to pinpoint what it is. Her typical clothing is a bright green tunic, blue pants, black boots, a wide leather belt, and a red headband, just as before. She also wears a feral-looking necklace made of pieces of Gaiath's eggshell.
Personality:
The same flamboyant swashbuckling type as before, quick to anger, but also quick to help anyone in need (that is anyone who is also properly respectful). Her outgoing self is now muted with some untold sorrow, of which absence of her brother N'van is only part. She suffers occasional episodes of depression.
History: The sea giveth, the sea taketh away, and the sea giveth again. She and Navan (at that point) had been en route to another weyr when they were swept off-course by a storm and washed up on Benshing Island. This was lucky for them and for the pair of greens they Impressed at the hatching that coincided with their arrival.* But fate intervened, and both were swept back out to sea in another storm. This time, they were separated, and Gaiath heard nothing from Sleipnirth for the few years that intervened. Now she has managed to partly fly and partly sail back to Benshing, to what end remains to be seen.
Skills: Fighting, sailing, singing (especially bawdy old ballads and drinking songs. She's no Harper by any stretch), fishing, dragon care.
Rank: Greenrider

Dragon name: Gaiath
Rank: Green
Appearance: Her hide is the vibrant pale emerald color of Irish hills at her head, darkening to an oceanic blue-green at the tip of her tail. Her wings, a paler green than her head, are so large as to be almost a deformity, but despite her awkwardness on the ground, she proves herself in the air. They may look freakish, but those wings are extremely powerful and propel her relatively small body forward at a rate that makes her a) look like a blur from below, and b) one of the swiftest fliers available.
Personality: She has sprouted a competitive streak a mile wide, and will drop whatever she's doing (except carrying her rider, of course) to race any dragon who asks. She's also one to come up with taunts and riddles and various other annoyances. Overall, however, she's a fun loving dragon who likes flying dangerously. Though she deeply feels the pain of her lifemate, her reaction is to try and cheer her up during her bouts of depression rather than to brood in unison.
*Go figure. ^_^
