Nancy,

Jane is one of my all-time favorite heroines. She's so different from just about every other female character I've read, yet I really got her. I've tried to write a Favorite Review for that book, but haven't gotten around to it.

My absolute favorite is Eve Dallas, who rocks my world every time I read her.

She ranks just about Honor Harrington, a sci-fi heroine.

I'm horrible with names, so bear with me.

I love Jade from GUARDIAN ANGEL one of the first romance novels I ever read. It was when I was around 14 and had no money. I'd run down to the corner used book store every day, praying it wasn't gone and sit down and read it. Eventually I was able to buy it and I still have that copy. I think some of the pages are actually missing.

Margo, from THE CONTROVERSIAL COUNTESS by Putney is another fave, although I can't remember the title it was re-released under.

The heroine of THESE OLD SHADES is fabulous and it ranks as one of my favorite Heyer novels. (It's french and begins with an L I think)

Pretty much all Roberts' heroines qualify for me, by a recent best was Ally from NIGHT SHIELD. One of the best female cop characters I've ever read. Just about the first one who appeared to be moderately happy.

Anyway, Nancy, I agree with all of your choices.

Jenn
