Subject: Roster Turnover

With all of the hubbub about Austria, I thought I would point out some interesting facts about my team.
While no one was watching, the Mexico Aztecs have undergone a dramatic reshaping. Although this was not as sudden as the Austria situation, the results are comparable. Since the beginning of last season, Mexico has replaced 32 players out of the 53 man roster thru trades, draft, retirement, outright release, and signing of free agents. This was not done merely to change the identity of the franchise. It was a fairly good team when I took over, but most of the key players were at the end of their careers, and the team had little depth. One season later the Aztecs are easily the youngest team in the league. Even though we are having a rough go of it in this rebuilding year, the future is bright.
