Hi,

:-) starting lecture:

FBPro has 3 elements that controle the playcalling

1 the playbook
2 the situation profile
3 the tendencies profile (the only thing we can change in FWL)

How many running or passing your team does is written
in the situation profile. i.e. "On 3rd and short do a pass"
So you cannot change your relation of pass to run, because
the programm will choose this depending on play and
game situation (like "14 points behind in the 4th quarter")

In a certain situation the game calls i.e. "a medium pass
defense". In the palybook there are maybe 6 plays in that
category. Randomly one will be picked. Most of the time
some of the plays are blitzes some not. So you cannot
influence the number of blitzes at all if you cannot
change the plays in the playbook (above exampel:
2 of 6 palys are blitzes, you would have to make this
4 or more of the 6)

What we can change is the attitude the game will be played.
agressive: more risk, more potential for big plays and
yes more injuries
conservative: secure and safe playing
balanced: a 50-50 mix

So in my understanding it makes no difference if you
give all point to i.e. run or if you give them equal to
both. You can only control that IF you run then you
will do it mostly agressive (the play called may still
be a normal run the middle play)
Or if your pass defense is set to be aggressive,
they will try harder to reach the QB or to make an INT
but also they will neglect the tackling and it doesnt
matter at all when the called play has no blitzes at all.

So I have to disapoint you, but you can almost not change
the issues you would like to influence.

It would be only possible if we would use the game
provided plans and profiles (there are some for a
aggressive pass offense i.e.)
But in the FWL Paul does not allow this because it would
give the players with the game at home an advantage
over the players without the game.

I hope this was helping even if it was a bit discouraging.

;-)

bye and tschuess,
Marco
