If there is a thing the serpent gave it would be cleverness. This is also a meaning of the Hebrew word also translated as "Naked" in the Bible. Of course naked is a better translation to the Christian doctrines.

See, what if the "sin" of man was merely that we learned to rationalize what we do. Reread the conversations with God afterward. The woman blames the serpent, the man the woman (even God for giving her to him as a companion).
