She pursed her lips and cocked her head a bit at the two teens on the hospital bed, and then finally nodded, slowly - the fact that they were giving themselves some time was good - she still thought it was a little silly to go from broken up and not speaking to engaged, but she had another eight months to talk to them about this whole thing. She faltered for a moment before finding some words. "Well... congratulations, then!" But she resolved to mention newlywed counselling for the two of them. He sought the approval of his parents in their eyes - he knew that they would be skeptical - he was skeptical himself about it sometimes - they were both very young and their relationship had just gotten over a shaky patch but he had never been more sure about his future before today. "And I'll be done with school by then, so it won't distract me from my schooling." He said, teasingly - he hoped that Lacey didn't feel responsible but knew it would be a question that may have crossed her mind - his tone was teasing enough to let her know it wasn't.

She had felt guilty about that for a long time- but Eliza had counselled her long and hard about it and had managed to convince her that Ryan's downfalls hadn't been her fault. She glanced up at him and smirked a little, it was a relief having told his parents at least- she felt better about things now- and everything seemed a little more real. She bit her lower lip as she grinned softly, her eyes flashing excitedly at his before she looked back to Ryans parents "Thanks." // Rober watched his wife faulter and knew she at least agreed with him over the age and the status of their relationship thing. He took her lead and cleared his throat before nodding "Indeed... congratulations." Though it wasn;t as convincing as his wifes he had said it none the less. His gaze shifted to his son and he caught his eye, tipping his head to the door a moment, motioning to Ryan that he wanted a word before excusing himself and heading out into the corridor, out of earshot.
