Author: Lacey
Subject: Robert shook his head as he tried to refuse the check, offering him a slight smile "Consider it your 21st brithday present." Robert may be a hard faced business man- but Lacey had won all their hearts and he'd much prefer to have her as a daughter in law than some stuck up little brat like Hailey Bates. Five thousand was a drop in the ocean to them anyway. //Lacey laughed a little at Eliza and shook her head a little "I don't really care about the wedding... I'd be happy to get married in city hall but I don't think Ryan would..." She grinned a little "But somehting small I guess ..." Something affordable.

  • He was a little bit surprised still, shellshocked maybe, but folded the cheque up and put it safely into his pocket, shaking his head. "Thank you... " He would be able to get Lacey something a bit more.. luxurious than he had initially planned and when he really thought about it, he was excited - though he knew she wouldn't really care whether the ring cost five dollars or five thousand. // She laughed a little bit and patted the girl's hand. "You're right, I don't think he'd settle for getting married in city hall.." not the way he liked to lavish this girl with presents and things of that sort - he had been determined, from the getgo, it seemed, to allow her to experience and have the things that she would eventually have as his wife.
