Author: Eliza
Subject: She frowned as she followed the girl through the room, finally catching up to her and kneeling in her silk shift dress at the girl's feet, putting her hand on her cheek gently and catching her eyes. "Every bride gets a little nervous, Lacey." She shook her head a little bit, "On my wedding day, I was so worried, I was throwing up.... the wedding was delayed a half an hour until I felt strong enough to go out and walk up the aisle. I had those same thoughts, but you know... things have worked out." She offered the girl a little bit of a smile. "Do you love Ryan, Lacey?"

  • Lacey kept her gaze lowered, tears shining in her bright blue eyes. She let her gaze meet Eliza's as the woman spoke, the worry in her face lessening a little at the story of her own wedding day. "Of course.... more than anything..." She replied softly, carefully brushing away a stray tear without smudging her make-up. "I promised him I'd always take care of him... but what if I'm not? Maybe this is just me being selfish... " They had both been so sure of this right from the start- but what if they were wrong? "I really wish my mom was here..." She murmered. She knew her mom was a lousy good for nothing mother... but she was still her mother when all was said and done... and a girl should have her mom with her at her wedding...
